3rd Annual Selma New Year's Bash
Date: Sunday, January 9th, 2011

Place: Selma High School, 3125 Wright Street, Selma, CA 93662

Rules: National Federation High School Rules (minimum rest between matches and maximum number of matches in a day not in effect). Head gear required for all age groups. USA card not required.

Entry Deadline: Registration must be completed by 9 p.m., Thursday, January 6th through trackwrestling. Absolutely no late entries will be accepted. Must make weight as registered. On-line registration only. Maximum of 24 per weight.
Fee: $20. Fee must be pre-paid on-line. No refunds!

Admission: $3 for anyone 12 yrs and older. Free for under 12. No charge for coaches (must be wearing coach’s band).

Format: Collegiate style. Double-elimination. No seeding. Wrestle back for 2nd. All referee decisions are final. All protests to be directed to tournament directors. All matches will be wrestled straight through, including finals.

Weights: K-2nd Grade:
37, 43, 49, 55, 61, 67, 73, 79, 85, 85+

3rd-5th Grade:
52, 58, 64, 70, 76, 82, 88, 94, 100, 110, 120, 130, 130+

Time Periods: All Divisions: 60 seconds per period: including consolation and finals. Overtime – NFHS rules.

Awards: Custom trophy for 1st place. Custom medal for 2nd and 3rd. Award for outstanding wrestler in each division. Outstanding wrestler award based on champion with the most pins in the shortest amount of time. Team trophy for top 3 teams in tournament, both divisions combined. Only highest scorer per weight class for each team will accumulate team points.

Coaches: Coaching bands will be enforced. Teams with 5 or fewer wrestlers will receive 1 band. Teams with 6 to 10 wrestlers will receive 2 bands. Teams with more than 10 wrestlers will receive 3 bands. Additional coaching bands will be sold at $10 each.

Weigh-Ins: All age groups: 6:30–8 a.m. Sunday, January 9th.

Wrestling: All age groups begin at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 9th.
