Are you certain this is the entire message? Is there an error message number? What OS are you using (XP, Vista, Windows 7). Is this a laptop or a desktop PC?

As you can see, we need a lot more information to help you.

Do you get the PC Mfg. Logo or simply a white or screen? Try booting into Safe Mode but I suspect you will not be able to do so. This could be anything from a dead hard drive to a burned up chip to a bad motherboard. Sad Right now it is telling you that it can not find a device (your hard drive) to boot from.

You could download an install a Linux OS such as Puppy Linux or Mint on a USB (flash or pen) drive and try to boot from there. At least you could recover your files or see what else might be wrong. Otherwise sounds like computer repair shop time.

It's not even turning on now...guess i will have to take it to a computer shop now, are you sure it has to be major things like "dead hard drive to a burned up chip to a bad motherboard."? Sad ...cant it just be a bad power supply? (which I was thinking the problem was)
