I hope to explain this. When I click for a certain site, it overwrites the site that is being used. It deletes the one that was there. I have an icon that I am supposed to use to switch between sites but the one is completely deleted.

older,
I am not sure that I understand your problem correctly but if you are saying that when you click on a link to go to a site but it takes you to a site other than the one you intended then you have a virus of some sort on your machine. This is exactly what the well-reported DNS Changer worm was doing.

Lets see if this compter dummy can correct. LOL
If I am looking at one site and I click to see another site, I get the site but the original site is now gone. So if I want to look at the original site I have to click again to bring it up. Instead of lining them up in the task bar, so I can switch between them, I only have one there.

| Depends on what browser you are using, but in Firefox, for example, click + near the top to open a new tab before you go to the next site. Then you can go back to the previous site if youn wish by clicking on that tab. |

Hi older,
What you are referring to is a setting in IE about reusing the window for new shortcuts (links to a new site). This setting only works if you have tabbed browsing turned off. If you use tabbed browsing, right click the link and select Open in New tab and this will open the new site in a new window (tab) and leave the other site in its own window (tab). If you do not use tabbed browsing then:
Open IE
Select Tools > Internet Options
Select Advanced tab
Under Browsing make sure Reuse window for launching new shortcuts is NOT checked and Apply and OK your changes.

Again I have to thank you for helping a poor computer dummy fix a problem. To be able to wade through what I ramble on about and solve it you are all wonderful.
