My Dad pointed me in the direction to one of my prettiest birds ever. Once I located him it took about two hours to get him to the gun. He was interested but I could tell he didn't want to get to close. He was in a clear-cut and the sun was starting to heat up so I knew it was just a matter of time before he came to visit me in the shade. After the shot he flopped over in some old stagnant water and mud. He smelled as good as he looked. Made for a pretty picture

I may get a chance at him this week sometime. I sure hope he smells better than this one did.

Well, pretty is in the eyes of the beholder I reckon....wasn't there some talk about road kills counting in the contest earlier????? ARE YOU SURE this ain't one of them...  |
