Rut,
Can you even remeber the last time you got frost on your boots during turkey seaon? May have been when you hunted up there with Doc.
Happens most mornings up here. |

No, when I was in Michigan with Doc, we had some cold mornings, but no frost. To tell you the truth, I've only had frost in the mornings a couple of times during my spring turkey hunts. Believe it or not, both times were in Florida!!
But my goal is to kill a bird in all of the lower 48 states before I die. So some frosty turkey hunts are probably in my future! As long as I don't have to turkey hunt in snow like 6, OTH and FW707 did that time in Nebraska! _________________ All we need to do is call those hens across this field. |

That was COLD!!! If I remember correctly, it was 18 degrees in the morning and a high of 29 degrees. The weather report before I left was calling for 70's and if it wasn't for FW707 lending me clothes, I would still be there, frozen to death!!!
It was 44 degrees in the morning one year I hunted with you Jim in Fl.!! _________________ "Shootemindaguts" |

Com on Rut. a little snow don't stop a serious turkey-fool and they still gobble and strut.
But I to have had what was probably my coldest hunt out in NB as well. Drove out there in a blizzard that dumped about 8" of snow. Then we had the same temps that OTH had. Sure was merisable if you sat still very long. |
