Congrat on the fine bird! Now, we need more bird totals. I have to wait 13 more days before I can hunt.

Travel call arrived safe and sound today... can't wait to put it to work. I have had longbeards in my sights and my safety off three times so far this season, but no good shots. It's getting down to the wire for me now -- the in-laws are coming in from Brazil on May 2, so my season will be all done after this upcoming week. Hope I can score. _________________ BRING ME MY HASENPHEFFER! |

Well, the gobbling just seems to have shut down completely around northeast Georgia, and I don't know if or when it's gonna start up again. I did manage to kill a very young jake a couple weeks ago close to my house, so at least I'll be having my turkey fingers this year.
Who do I send the travel call to next? Someone needs to p.m. me an address... _________________ BRING ME MY HASENPHEFFER! |

Season ended in Georgia on the 15th. You said you were in no hurry, so the travel call is still here with me. It managed to get a little bit of blood on it this season. I'll try to get it in the mail this weekend. _________________ BRING ME MY HASENPHEFFER! |

I guess everyone on our team is done now?? I think season is gone for everyone except the farthest north folks like Guidemike????
Been a good run. Don't know how we faired in the contest but it looks like Team Mod Squad smoked everyone by a fair bit. Based on total kill numbers anyway. |

Hmmm, ... don't know how you define a "fair bit" but little ol' Team 3 didn't fair too badly by comparison. By my count the Mod Squad ended up with 23 boids and Team 3 had 20. I wouldn't necessarily qualify that as a "smoking". We would have been right there if I hadn't been such a slacker in Oklahoma this year. (Not your fault. You did preach "Eye of the Tiger" to me. )
... and as far as scores go I don't think we faired too poorly by comparison. The Mod Squad ended up with 7 birds that scored over 65. Team 3 ended up with 6. If it wasn't for olesix's mutant, whopper 100 plus scoring bird I think the scoring would be fairly close.
... of course this is just your standard "Loser talk", ... "if's" and "buts" |
